Get on Ritchie bros and start searching history. You do have have an account to search completed auctions. It's free to sign up or find somebody that already has an account. Used iron has seen a pretty good uptick since trump got in. Last fall before the election it was a blood bath reasonably low houred 350 size plus (35 ton) excavators around $30k high houred clean with a little age under $20k. These are monsters and will need permits to move. Depends on the state, Colorado is not bad if you are under 110k gross. Talk to a local heavy haul guy and get a quote for a future haul if you are at all interested. Once you get into the 750 size you usuall have to haul them in pieces. Just to put things in perspective those cheaper big boys will almost pay for them selves with 1 tank of fuel if you had to hire it done. 2 tanks through with out problems it's all gravy.
