| Used to work with a guy that had worked at North Florida Holsteins in Gainesville. He said there were a few farms close by and you wouldnt even know it was party city on the other side of town. A lot of international dealings and trials, i can imagine it gets difficult to market vast quantities of milk in a pretty steady market demand -wise. Pools in my area dont want anymore milk from what ive heard. I think you could still get into dairy but you either have to produce enough to make it worth picking up or specialize in cheese/organic/raw milk (if your state allows) I admire the guys with less than a hundred head who can make it through some of these prices. Last time i checked the price was less than 15$ a hundred and youve gotta feed the cow the replacements and the vet!
