My only concern about keeping F1 cows is what sort of cow disposition am I going to get from a terminal bull?  My Hereford cows are about the gentlest creatures you can imagine.

Disposition is especially important in a rotational grazing system where they are often passing me at arms length when moving the wire. Although maybe that close contact helps make them more easy going too...

I'm getting good growth from my Hereford calves, I have to wonder how much better growth I'll get from an F1 steer and is that growth worth a possible step back in disposition? Especially with another breed bull in the close rotation.
