N.E. MT
The ones in our feedlot water about 500 head each
The ones for the cows anywhere from 300-500
I have left them with nothing drinking till mig January and just had to cut ice not unthaw the lines. I kinda used cobalts idea to build them mixed with the doomed foberglass tank idea. The float stays all inside the 12" culvert that goes 10' deep to keep from freezing. Built the lids with plywood and spray foam insulation. I sprayfoamed the cap for the culvert and spray foamed an old lic tub to make an easy access lid. Used a pit-less adapter and 4 inch pvc pipe to get the water level inside the 12" culvert. I have had the Hudson valves stick open before and had the repair them but I never have had to unthaw one. Made drinkers on each side and hung conveyer belt into the water to hold heat. Used big screws and liquid nail to hook the lid to the tire.
