Paradise KS | Not to take away from your sorrow but it happens to all of us no matter how hard we try.
Had a cow and calf die during birth, no particular reason. Had a calf die after it was a week old, showed no signs. Bull broke his leg couple weeks ago assuming from fighting with other bulls. Have a steer we were feeding that tore his ligaments or something in his leg, he gets around but not very well. Another calf that had a leg freeze off. Nursed him for three weeks then one day his leg was gone and the next he was dead. Had another cow that had a dead calf. Another cow that won't take her calf.
This is probably our worst year I can remember on the cattle side but it is what it is. | |
