If you want a wall, I would buy the precast wall. I have a wall and an end made of 2x2x4 blocks and they don't fit that tight, with dirt against them they are ok, but the open end lets a lot of air in. I stacked the 2x2x4 with the 2x2 face in the end of my pit 4 high and they don't move, but it takes a lot of blocks, I think I have 50 in a 30 foot wide end stacked 4 high
