..Church and Dwight (Arm&Hammer) makes a product called "Megalac"...that is encapsulated fat in baking soda. It's primarily designed to feed to dairy...to up the fat content in the milk. I'm not sure if that stuff will affect the cow's rumen though...I know they coat it to get most of it to the next stomach. If it tastes better..It might just be an off label use that could be handy.
