Subject: Anyone have experience grazing rye after Flexstar?

Hardin County, Iowa
Last fall we seeded a rye cover crop with plans to graze it this spring. It was seeded on a soybean field that had been sprayed with Rhythm, which is a generic Flexstar (active ingredient: fomesafen). On the label it reads: "Do not graze rotated small grain crops or harvest forage or straw for livestock."

I had no idea about this until my son came back from a cover crop meeting last fall. He mentioned that one of the people speaking had cautioned producers about grazing after a fomesafen application. What have others done? Is waiting until spring to graze long enough after the application? Thanks. Paul
