I am curious to see answers on this one. Are you looking for purposes of dairy or beef?

We have been looking into them for our dairy based on general hardiness and ability to do well on forages.


Suggest that you look at the info from the stud in Germany to help you choose bulls with better milking characteristics.
When I visited, some of the best bulls (by the stats), looked like they might not be easy calving. Not sure if any of the Fleckvieh bulls in North American were ever chosen for their milking characteristics. (The list of stats collected by the stud is very impressive - - - I'm remembering times for milk let down from daughters and some other things that I had never thought of to that point!)
