SW Minnesota
I agree. I'm 29 and 2 years ago decided it was time to focus back on getting more diversified. Brother and I were attempting to grow and expand row crop towards 3,000 acres. I decided to expand my cows and we are back around 2200 acres. I'm not in a very cow friendly area but land costs on row crop were out of control. I only have 50 cows, but I enjoy going to work everyday a lot more. The seasonality of row crop is nice, just isn't where 100% of my passion is. Someday hope to get back into finishing more cattle as well, and shift back to a more diversified balance my dad had in the 80's and 90's.
