I had a friend teach me to curve 6013 and weight the rod holder and the 6013 rod would weld by itself.
Calvin, I've made lots of beer money on a self welding rod. Don't need a 6013 for that. Any rod will work as long as you strike it right. Never have weighted the holder either.
