Southeast South Dakota | tax season/prep is getting absolutely ridiculous
I live in SD but cross the bridge into Iowa for my job. So I file my Iowa non resident tax forms. Fine
All I take from Iowa is paycheck - nothing related to farming in both states.
So I built a hay shed in SD this year - claiming the extra 50% bonus depreciation on it . Fine
But Iowa doesn't allow the extra 50% bonus that the Feds do - so now I hav a whole depreciation schedule for federal taxes, and now an entirely different depreciation schedule just for Iowa......ridiculous - noone in their right mind can keep track of all this stuff
