House siding insulation ??

I THINK what Shrek meant was the sheathing or ship lap underneath. The NEXT one of those I do I will use THIN blandex over the ship lap ,,,gluing and screwing edges and caulking all seams This will keep air from going in and out. Then Tyvek then insulation and siding.

One more thing,,,while stripped down to sheathing I would make sure the wall cavity was blown full of insulation. What kind I dont know. Had a house that was drilled and foamed and most space was missed or dried up and powder in the bottom. Fiberglass maybe cause it dont settle as much. Complicated IF its poorly some filled with old crappy rock wool.

I have done a couple without the blandex and just not happy with results. Be careful how the top goes in there since the soffit area is cold and it WILL drop down the wall cavity and make walls cold
