If you are working with mostly cash sellers I would certainly write up quotes for Whole Farm for all your guys up in ND. That is actually one of the producers this was made for. If they only have two crops you can only write a 75% policy which makes it tough but for the cost it still might be worth it especially with the many factors that can affect cash sales up there (I am from Wahpeton originally so have some exposure). You can also layer in some MPCI with it.

If you do a quote for Whole Farm you should also do one for PCI as well. PCI is not subsidized so it will be more expensive for them BUT as it is only based on cash sales and also covers Input Costs it has some attractiveness to it. With PCI, the producer does not have to take part in the government programs meaning you can tile, etc.

The problem up North is the expense of getting insurance to a deductible level that are truly effective while not breaking the bank but it can be done!
