Yeah, I found online on these it is common for a "chip" to go bad. But finding out which one, and getting it soldered into the circuit board may be tough. Not sure any place near here is a reputable repair center, and for what techs would charge, new sets aren't all that expensive accordingly.. Just my thoughts.
