Carroll, OH | Yes, slugs will probably be a big problem. When we started we would have a lot of replant, but that was with single species covers and before radish. Today we still have slug pressure, but not enough to reduce corn population or cause serious seedling stress. We have a high carabit beetle population after cover crops and more residue helps keep them off the corn and beans. Getting into issues with voles or field mice with mild winters, but our predator population is up so we will see this year. | |
