Subject: Aggresive seller of 2017 New crop Beans????

Cherokee County, Northwest Iowa
Right or wrong, I usually don't pay much attention to grain markets during the winter, start paying close attention March on for the seasonal spring rallies (hopefully). My crude marketing plan for 2017 is a sheet of paper taped to office wall, says "Be an aggressive seller of new crop beans for fall delivery, 2017, during anticipated seasonal spring rally"

Now two things have cropped up that have me concerned:

1. President Trump: I have this feeling that he might say or go and do something, and knock the grain markets down.

2. 4 million more acres of soybeans, a record acreage, quotes in farm magazines saying "Many market observers believe a dramatic increase in soybean acreage will materialize in 2017."

I have sold 25% of my anticipated bean production (at a price which I would say historically isn't too bad) last couple of weeks, am thinking if I wait till March-July 10th, might be taking less money.

Your thoughts, please. Thanks, Bruce
