Rivers, MB | I look at this way. Unless there are specific tax advantages of leasing over owning that will affect your income tax bill, I don't have interest in leasing. Suspect the car will not be a farm asset so the tax issue is a moot point. The car will depreciate the same whether you own it or the leasing company does. The rate of interest for leasing might be significantly less than owning so that might be a point in favor of leasing. Otherwise, the leasing company is making money at leasing out vehicles. I'd rather take that profit for myself. and then there are no details in the lease arrangement to be concerned about. | |
