Don't have 1500 HD right now - actually I'm at drought numbers as of current - nothing to do with groceries or equity - short term is work the numbers back up there, will be happy with getting back to moving a load every couple weeks - last 12 months due to personal matters/ markets/ and a long list of blah I've wrecked my rolling hedge - buying/selling weekly
Some changes soon to come and then I'll hopefully be back to rolling
Edit; actually maybe it's more of a reverse rolling hedge
Edit; I'm below drought numbers, I had a pile of cattle in a grow yard during the drought after thinking about it, need to look up what the COG was - also remember buying feed hay at 120 ton, more money made on cattle those couple years and highest COG
AIUI when the costs are the highest is often when there is the most profit in them. Seems backward but it all depends upon that wonderful purchase price. When corn is high there is tremendous pressure on feeder prices! |
