Fayette Co, Iowa | Sorry for the confusion guys. I'm seeding down into worked bean stubble this spring. With a mix of oats as a cover, then some brome, and orchard grasses for a mix. This will be for my stock cows and smaller calves. I was just wondering since over the past years I just bought some "Alfalfa" and never paid much attention to hay varieties in such the matter if you can get different stem size, or hardier plants? Since hay I normally try to make for 4 or 5 years depending on winter kill areas. | |
