Are you wanting to load the files on the tablet now and take with the tablet, or are you wanting to grab the files off the PC (perhaps files that aren't created before you leave even) while traveling, as you randomly decide which ones to get?
Are you familiar with some of the cloud services, such as Google Docs or whatever they call it today, which lets you store business documents in their cloud and access thrm from several different devices? I personally wonder about the security of that; but it is well received by many and appears to work for what you might want to do.
My questions might help others more familiar with it all help you out.
