They will bid July against z because they want to be out of n futures by FND at the end of June. A lot stay away from Sept because you never really know if it will act like old or new crop. Most hedgers prefer to price on delivery and would just EFP hedges at del in July. This would also hold a little protection on a spring rally that would assert the bull spreads,
