North Central Illinois | Whether or not 2.4 is burdensome depends largely upon the size of the 2017 crop. Demand is screaming right now and it would seem that we would have a hard time ramping it up anymore than it already is. The chore of cutting carryout then falls to the 2017 crop in the form of production issues. Certainly not out of the realm of possibility that we could add to the surplus even more by the end of 2017. Don't get me wrong I do think we stand a good chance of some weather issues but you never want to put all of your eggs in one basket either. I too think there will be rallies and opportunities but a guy is going to have to have a goal in mind and stick to it if it is reached. I just can't see a lot of hope for old crop corn at this point. I think opportunities will come in new crop if there are any. | |
