That's the way to go - laptop and SSD. A well configured entry class laptop can easily do what you want, and won't be obsolete in 5 years. The product cycles have become much slower in windows computers. Even a 2007 windows XP machine still could do most of what you want (not as nice and not a recommendation, obviously, but I really can't see a win 10 machine purchased today would be totally obsolete in 2022). You probably can hook that laptop to your existing keyboard ans screen if you want to, and it will feel like a good desktop, but portable and not allergic to a possible power breakdown. |
