I don't remember the year but it was in the early or mid 80's and it was my only attempt at growing Barley. I had 60 acres  that average 20bu./acre and I hauled it to town and the price was $1.00. I straight cut mine so it was wet and with the discount I got 95 cents a bushel. 20x.95= $19.00 an acre gross income. It was not a money maker and I never grew Barley again.
