Centre county Pennsylvania, USA | Chinese (Smithfield owners) are very good at what they do, No reason why grain farmers can't be just as good, cut out the middle man and do our own grain merchandising. That's happening here in high basis land. Large grain farmers are rapidly becoming vertically integrated into the grain merchandising business, direct from field to end user.
Stil plenty of opportunity for non-farmer grain merchandisers, but wake-up call is ringing. |
