North Central Kentucky
Apple pie is moonshine cut with apple juice or cider. it sometimes has fruit in it or a cinnamon stick. the moonshine is, around here, legit before it is made into apple pie.

Moonshine is simply home made spirits. Usually a grain is cooked to transition starch to sugar, then the sugar is turned to alcohol by yeast which is then distilled into moonshine. Some folks skip the cooking step and start with sugar water or a sugar honey mix.
