Zabcikville, TX | #1. You are NOT "just a teacher". My wife is a teacher, my mom was a teacher for 26 years. My brother is a teacher. I hold them ( all teachers)in high regard.
#2. Just be there. Bring supper when he's working late. Or just stop by to ride in the tractor, combine, or whatever. We want time with you, although farmers have a really bad habit (at least I do) of putting work first.
As I mentioned before, my wife is a teacher. The times (not near enough for me) when she drops by to bring me a burger and ride a few rounds in the tractor are priceless. Most farmers have the hand tools they need, or will go buy it. Having the love of his life, his partner beside him while he does what he does........money can't buy that. | |
