Subject: RE: Empire outdoor wood boiler cleaning

Sorry ,
Do not mean to side track the question , as I do not own a Empire and do not use any special brushes to clean mind.

I have a few Questions for you,

What kind of steel is it made of.
What water do you use in it example ( out of tap, through a water softener, rain water).
What do you put in the water to keep it from eating the metal, or rusting it.

Ours lasted 5 years as it was eating the steel where the water is.
It was boiler plate and we use water that went through a softener with a PH reducer now they say to use pucks for Nitrates and hard water.
