Texas/New Mexico Stateline | We also are members. Our local town also decided to cover everybody in the community. Air ambulance service apparently offered them a deal for less than $2000 a year to cover probably 1500 citizens. I was not real sure how they decided you were "covered" or not, and since we live out of town a good ways I decided to keep paying our $65 per year to make sure we had it.
It would be just my luck, have to be transported and they would find out we live outside the city, and would use that as an excuse to not pay.
You will notice on the air ambulance membership "policy" they will go after your health insurance coverage first, and the membership only covers what your insurance doesn't cover. Sounds like a huge headache I hope I never have to deal with.
