It never really dawned on me that Iowa needed a governor (yes, I'm having a bit of fun here).

It has dawned on me that the ambassador to China will become even more important as the world develops over the next few years. What an ambassador does is keep conversations going behind the scenes despite whatever public posturing is going on. If your governor is good at working with those he disagrees with, he will do more good for your country over there.
