| How much of the time in China does the ambassador actually spend? Are they there all the time or just a few weeks here and there when there are actually "important" meetings and events on the schedule? Or do they move there "full time" and just come back to the USA now and then like a couple times a year? Maybe there is no set pattern as to what their schedule is. How much power would Terry B. wield as an ambassador? I would think he would have the more prestigious position already as Governor of Iowa, but that's just my opinion.
