Grabill, Indiana | My off farm jobs is as a Swine Nutritionist and I can confirm that the feed industry is dealing with Vomitoxin in the year's corn crop. The contamination is worse in the East but we are getting samples with levels that may cause issues throughout the corn belt.
Based on the results I have seen we don't have the same level of contamination as we did in 2009. The impact on the swine industry is yet to be known, but I think the impact will be local, not enough to swing the pendulum.
