How in the world do they make money on eggs?
My folks got six dozen eggs from Aldi's today. 14 cents per dozen. Penny per egg and two cents for packaging?

Well Id say its a marketing play to get them in the door and pickup all their groceries from them.The store lost 6 bucks on the eggs but made it all back and more on the other items they bought using only part of a parcent markup at a time per item.Now they really like the store and will come back next time as well. Its not a bad thing..Have to pick and chose .Just the way it works. |
