Southeast South Dakota		my phone (nexus 5) uses wifi for an option for connectivity.
i subscribe to idrive, so back up my pics on the cloud -
this is what I would do -
fill your phone - back it up - empty it out - repeat -
then when you are on leave just restore the files a few at a time as you use them - nothing else needed

this will only work if you have wifi available when you are out of cell service
(or atleast have wifi available once every fews days or so)
