One thing to consider, and that's a "here" vs "there" thing.. I had a neighbor get a LOT of mud on the road carting straight across the road to a dry gravel area to load trucks, 650 bu cart coming from a 120 acre field so it was a lot of road crossing.. someone sent the fire department out to wash the road off and he got a bill for it.  Not sure how much it was, but I bet it wasn't cheap.  In the County's defense though, the road was a mess. 



"mess" is when they load beet trucks in the field and the mud gets disturbed, down the road
