The 7020 had the 404 and the 7520 had the 531. First tractor with a 466 was the 8430.

Park a 7x20 next to a 8x30 and you will realize they are the same tractor only one has a better cab and engines (466/619)

I have an 8440 that has been a very good tractor for me. If I had to do it again I would look for an 8450 or 8650. That way you aren't looking around that huge muffler in the hood.

A big operator by us bought 2 8650s new. One he traded around 5000 hrs with no problems. The other he kept and they rebuilt the trans themselves at 12,000 hrs and sold it at 16,000 with no other issues. Second owner still has it with over 20,000. They weren't all lemons and if they were they are long gone by now.
