EC IN | 7520 has the same motor as the 6030, ie 531T. 404 was for the 7020 only. Early 7020's had the same 404 as the 4620 and later models switched to the 4630 version 404. You can easily tell because of the shape of the intercooler. I have a 7520 and certainly wouldn't want to put 100 hrs a year on it. It's noisy, hot, and a pain to shift. I would move onto an 8630 or 8640 in a heartbeat compared to even considering a 7520. Have put lots of hours on a 8630 and 8640 and they were very reliable for us. Plus I always felt more comfortable running one versus a 2wd or mfd tractor. For tillage they are hard to beat. You can get into one for about half of what a mfwd tractor would cost. I have mechanic friend who also owns and farms with his 7520. He said that if he wasn't a mechanic, he couldn't afford to own his 7520. I think they are better left to collector crowd. | |
