South Eastern VA | So I have a small field going to corn in 2017. CEC is about 2.5, top 8" is sand and then turns to clay after that.
I am considering buying some dap for this field so my question is when would you guys apply it? I read more studies now that say P moves more than some people think. I always over apply my P & K to build soil levels. So I'm thinking split apply the DAP? Any of you guys on here do this?
I don't mind multiple trips because I don't cover a lot of acres and I have to do it anyway with my nitrogen. I am in a higher rainfall area with about 50" being the average.
Any input is greatly appreciated!
