Near-north Ontario, French River | I could be wrong, it happens alot lol , but I think the commercial apple producers in addition to using temperature contolled storage also aim for an optimum humidity level within the storage..... as well as maybe lowering oxygen levels within the storage. I think in some cases they try to increase C02 levels by injecting C02, into the storage area. |
