South Central Wisconsin | My wife has some "produce storage bags" that work well. They're green in color. supposedly have a chemical that absorbs the gases that cause ripening. After a while, there's less and less oxygen available, which is what causes spoilage. So, the ripening slows and the spoiling is minimized. The bags work well for us. We put a couple in our fridge, they last an extra couple month or two. Just the space hogging of them in the fridge. | |
