NW KS/ SC ID | I re-purposed a rotted out machine destined for the scrap heap into a corn combine this fall, does that count? :) Thank god for gorilla tape....
But in all seriousness, we dont do much fab ourselves, but the most notable thing we bought is an old corn header the previous owner re-purposed into a row crop header. MF83 with a MF grain header auger, IH wobble box, Gleaner sickle, MF sections, etc. basically only thing removed is the snapping rolls.
It does not feed well so you travel slow (3.5 mph tops) but it does a very clean low to no loss job and leaves extremely high snow catching stubble, so IMO it is worth it. Not bad for under 500 bucks on an online auction. | |
