I bet when you changed the belt you said, "Seems like that side is worn more than the other."

Likely your splines are gone on the inner sheave and is being driven by the outer bolted sheave. I also bet your tractor has heats up real quick, then cools off and the fan surges.

Gat a new sheave, the three red o rings for the pistons, a new boot and another belt. 30 minutes later it'll be like new.


Thanks for the advice. We have had to replace the whole drive at least once already because the inner sheave splines were completely gone but we've never replaced the o rings on the pistons
and i did notice leaked oil under the the fan drive when i changed the belt last time. So i will definitely be looking into that.
