Won't be any increase of spring wheat unless we get some sort of a rally this fall/winter. If futures hang around $5 I can see a fair decrease of spring wheat acres again for next year, especially if they keep the basis as bad as it is. Costs us a ton to fertilizer for good protein, so no sense in paying a huge fertilizer bill to be in the red before the crop is in the ground. We'll still grow wheat on our farm, but after this corn crop we're going to have up here this year, there will be lots of guys doubling down on corn acres for next year. 100 million corn acres for 2017?
