Subject: Sugar Cane Aphids

North Central Kansas
For those of you that have had them in your area for a while. Here is a question.

Will they get into cane, and cover crops?

Last year they were just on our county border, this year they are knocking on our county to the norths border. A buddy found them in in milo and we got to yacking over coffee. Wondering if they will go to cane, as it is a cousin to milo. How badly could those little pests mess up a silage cutter..OMG! would not want to think of it. And if they get in the cane, will the cattle still want to eat it, or will it have a different taste to discourage them from the breakfast table.

Thanks ya all.
