Midwest | True, a non stock co-op that is not current in their payouts is probably in a financial squeeze. They probably would be more tax efficient as an LLC. Sometimes co-ops can get "off mission" which is also another red flag. If they buy out or merge with a company that is not a "fit" that is another red flag. I am very fortunate that my local co-op is a well run company.
