How it is done more correctly. You hang 4 mill poly than hangs over the edge of the tub. Screw CONCRETE backer board to studs after they have been leveled and squared. THEN red guard applied to cement board backer. Then the tiles are installed at quite the slow speed,,,with THINSET,,,thinset scraped and brushed back out of grout line area. Forgot to say thinset applied on the wall AND back buttered 100% on EVERY tile, Pop in your spacers and use your long level to check for level plumb and smooth even surface height. Grout using the additive that seals the grout as well as install it
Doubt very much if you will be picking that tile off the floor and out of the tub... | |
