Kansas | My swather is a massey 16'. With auto steer I probably average 15' swaths. I currently have a 16 wheel rake that works good on 2 windrows. (Used to have an 18' swather) I would like to put 3 windrows together to bale faster. Would an 18 wheel rake work or does it need to be a 20 wheel? Some rakes I see have kicker wheels that only move the hay one direction. Doesn't that make your windrow heavy on one side? Some rakes I see have a kicker wheel going each direction keeping the windrow even. Which is better? Also which is better small kicker wheels or the larger normal sized ones?
