Apple has made it easier to switch in the past few years.  I did it about 18 months ago.  The iPhone will sign into your google accounts and sync all your contacts almost like your Android does now.  Microsoft Office stuff is just fine too.  You can install Office on a Mac or iPad.  Sometimes macros and stuff don't work the same though.  I use a PC, Iphone, ipad, and macbook.....all in the same day.
