If your talking notill beans it is a tossup at the end of the day (yield).
The 1790 will place them nearly perfectly and spaced much better. They will emerge a day or two earlier than the 1990. Your stress level will be low. Unless you plat corn with it. Too heavy!
The 1990 slops them in at an average depth (some too shallow, some ok) with VERY poor spacing. They will eventually emerge with the right weather. You will cuss it most of the spring.
Then in October the yield is the same. The 7 inch rows are a pleasure to harvest. And you can sow your wheat with it. You will say you love that 1990.
I have both. This is my experience. I also have had a 1780 (puke) and now have a DB60 (love). They both sit in the shed 11 months of the year.
